Palm Sunday

For those who believes About Jesus and Palm Sunday or Easter Sunday is approaching Friends.. Let's celebrate from now on till the day of this event.

When we celebrate Palm Sunday...
We are celebrating a great event. As we see Jesus ride into Jerusalem on a donkey and allow the people to praise Him as king, there are many things we can learn. But there is one aspect that is fascinating as it deals with Passover. We know that Passover was only four days away which made the day of the Triumphal Entry the tenth day of the month. We can see the significance of this when we read...Exodus 12:3, 5-6, which says,

Speak unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for a house:
Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: you shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
And you shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

As Jesus was riding in and the people were crying “Hosanna in the highest,”
Unknown to them they were selecting the paschal lamb for sacrifice; the one and only sacrifice that can take away sin and cause death to pass over us.

Praise God for His willing Lamb...

Shot taken inside Quiapo church. It has been a practice for me and Rhon to attend the Palm Sunday mass here at the Quiapo church every year, and this is our 3rd year already.

As it draws nearer and nearer...

You know that awkward feeling you get when you're still with the one you love yet you feel like crying each time you see him knowing the fact that he'll be leaving you real soon? Ironically,we've been waiting for this for so long, got dismayed countless times because of the delays and all, already cried in advance because of the thought of him leaving and me being left behind. For how many nights now, as we cuddle our way to sleep, we keep saying to each other, "walang iyakan ha..." But then again you still cant help but agonize silently. I remember one time when we got the news that Rhon's flight was supposed to be last month, but we got no confirmation from the agency. We keep on getting updates from his friends who are already working there. Updates which are not accurate at that time, only hearsays. I couldnt forget the day when I cried heavily when Rhon left with her sister to buy a few stuff at the mall. I dont know but I had this strange feeling of being alone, engulfing my whole being while I stare at the blank wall of our kitchen. He left while I was peeling some onions thats why I wasnt that obvious. I relentlessly cried but I still got myself together.

Now that everything was settled, his flight already confirmed which will be on April 7 next Saturday, the same feeling comes back. As it draws nearer and nearer I dont know what to feel. One thing I know is that I have to be strong, we have to...

Jessica Sanchez sings Beyonce's Sweet Dreams on AI Top 9

Jessica Sanchez had the judges and the audience on their feet rooting for her as she performed her rendition of Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams” on American Idol.
The top nine contestants took on the songs of their idols Wednesday night and were mentored by rock and roll royalty, Stevie Nicks.
Nicks was blown away with Sanchez’s voice but was also impressed with her ability to learn quickly.
“She is a great student,” said the rock star.
American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez loved that Sanchez turned Beyonce’s uptempo tune into a ballad.
“If I was Beyonce and I was home watching this, I would be thinking 'I should do that for my next concert,'” Lopez told Sanchez. “It was a really beautiful rendition of it. Really gorgeous.”
Lopez said she didn’t want Sanchez to stop singing.
“There was a part in there that everybody thought you were going to sing on forever,” Lopez said. “You didn’t and I love that because I wanted more. You left all of us wanting more.”

JLO’s fellow judges felt the same way about Sanchez's performance.
“Great performance and beautiful dress,” Tyler said complimenting Sanchez, who wore an elegant silver gown. “I think you are a star no matter what.”
To music producer Randy Jackson, who has been a judge on the show for 11 seasons, Sanchez is “one of the best singers I’ve seen in many years.”
“I don’t know if people believe me but stars are truly born,” said Jackson. “The maturity that you have as a singer at this age… I was looking at Jennifer… where do you learn that?”
He told Sanchez she has innate talent.
“I look forward to hearing you every night,” Jackson said.
Sanchez seemed relieved and happy she was able to nail it once again.
“[Beyonce] is an amazing performer, an amazing vocalist,” Sanchez said, smiling. “As a kid, I used to try to do her moves. She is the total package. That is why I look up to her so much.”

Late Lunch at Sbarro

Hunger Games 2012
We watched this movie last night and to our dismay it wasn't that good as to what we really expected it would turn out to be. I was even being offered by my nephew Andrew an audio book before so i could have an overview of what this movie is really all about but at that time I wasn't really interested about it. Been hearing/reading a lot of negative feedback about this movie and some said, for those who already read the book, not to  expect too much. I've been anticipating more action because its a GAME right? Was it really a game or a lame love story?

The verdict:
Randy Jackson said “You have an unbelievable talent. I love how you turned that song into a ballad and you told a beautiful story.”
Steven Tyler said “Great performance, beautiful dress. You did it again tonight and I like how you held back a bit.”
Jennifer Lopez said “I have to do that in my next concert. That was a beautiful rendition of the song.”

its my reminder that life is a process, and it takes work to make things happen.

Who has the best rendition of this very challenging Beyonce song?

PAIN IS TEMPORARY

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Sometimes the things that we have going on in our lives that we may see as great strong qualities or situations, fall apart. Many times in the moments that the good things in our lives fall apart, we aren't able to see that eventually things will get better than they are at the moment, we are only able to see the pain that we may be experiencing in the moment.

Instead of worrying about what's in the past, and what we must let go of, we should instead worry about living each day as much as we possibly can. We must maintain the attitude that continual growth is much better than standing still and that though there are some things in life that may break, we must make the choice to either let our lives fall apart or to try and make ourselves stronger from what we experienced.

Classic for Rhon and Truffle for me.... both taste real good though...

American Idol: Jessica Sanchez Brings Her Dream to Life

“Perfection.”
That was the word from the judges Wednesday on American Idol after seeing Jessica Sanchez perform Billy Joel’s “Everybody has a Dream.”
Sanchez, 16, also received a standing ovation, nearly bringing rock star Steven Tyler to tears.
“Jessica Sanchez, you’ve gone way past my judging,” said Tyler. “When God was giving out vocal cords you [were] so at the front of the line,” he joked.
Tyler thanked Sanchez “for letting me hear you sing.”
Jennifer Lopez, clad in a stunning fitted black shirt, tight leather skirt and apple red lipstick, told Sanchez: “That song was written for you.”
“He [Billy Joel] wrote that song for you a long time ago,” Lopez said. “That was your defining moment… defining song. I really feel that’s you.”
“You have this dream and you are here and you’re seizing the moment and you are living it in every second,” she added. “We all get to feel that and that’s a beautiful thing. Congratulations.”
Music producer Randy Jackson was exultant over Sanchez and said he was proud that she was in the competition.
What's Jennifer Lopez Up To?
“What I’m loving [after] doing this show for 11 seasons… it takes consistency to win,” said Jackson. “Every time you step up, every week, you have to have a moment. You have a moment every time you get on that stage.”
Amid the thunderous applause by the audience, Jackson told Sanchez, “I loved it.”
“You are flawless,” Jackson continued. “It was perfect.”
Sanchez was happy she got to sing that song in particular because she said she relates to the message.
“I got to sing what I believe in,” Sanchez told host Ryan Seacrest minutes after performing.
“I have a dream. This is my dream.”
Music and fashion moguls Sean “Diddy” Combs and Tommy Hilfiger were in attendance to give advice. They too clearly were impressed by Sanchez.
“Jessica, she has the ability to not only be a music icon but a fashion icon,” Hillfiger said.
After meeting with Sanchez and seeing the ensemble the 16-year-old had chosen for the evening, the fashion expert was quite pleased.
“The dress is very cool for you,” Hillfiger said. “I think the audience will love it.”
Sanchez showed off a lacy, petite sleeveless dress and wavy hair.
Like Hillfiger, Diddy had no doubts that Sanchez will go far.
“Jessica is definitely a star,” he said.
Jackson expressed gratitude that Sanchez got mentored by the two icons.
“Diddy, Tommy, excellent mentoring, excellent style, excellent coaching,” Jackson said. “That was right on. That was perfection.”
